Ansell C-Cell RGBTW Transforms a Private Home Cinema

A home cinema renovation project called for something beyond great sound and a big screen — the homeowner wanted lighting that could set the scene, shift the mood, and become a feature in its own right. Ansell’s C-Cell IP20 RGBTW LED strip tape was the perfect solution to deliver exactly that.

Installed around the perimeter of the room, the C-Cell RGBTW strip was recessed into the ceiling coving and wall edges to create a continuous band of light that frames the entire cinema space. The result is a striking architectural feature that draws the eye around the room before a single frame of film has played.

The C-Cell’s dot-free, continuous phosphor output was key to achieving the seamless, uniform finish the project demanded. Unlike standard LED strip, there are no visible hotspots or individual diodes — just a smooth, unbroken line of light that enhances the premium feel of the space.

The homeowner can switch between a warm, cinema-ready amber for movie nights, a cool white for general use, or a full spectrum of dramatic colour scenes — deep red for action sequences, vivid blue for sci-fi features, or subtle pastel tones for a more relaxed atmosphere.

With fast-fit plug-and-play connections and a self-adhesive backing, installation was clean, straightforward, and free from time-consuming soldering — an important factor when working within a freshly renovated, high-specification interior.
