Toni & Guy – Canterbury

Toni and Guy is one of world’s leading hairdressing brands with more than 475 salons across 48 countries. Ansell were approached by The Lampost Electrical Supplies in Canterbury to undertake the lighting design for the newly refurbished salon.

Toni and Guy is a fashionable, luxurious brand well known for their first class customer service, they wanted to create a salon environment that reflects their brand values.

Customer satisfaction was a key consideration, creating ambient relaxing surroundings whilst also ensuring that stylists had optimum working conditions to provide their clients with a first class service.

To meet the objectives set by the client our Comfort LED was installed throughout the salon. Comfort LED is an economic, high performance downlight with a lumen output of 2114lm. It features a deep cut off angle for glare control and comfort it also features an enhanced diffuser design for outstanding uniformity.  It was the perfect solution to illuminate each stylist’s mirror due to its high output and low glare providing optimum uniformity,minimising shadows.

To add tailored lighting and illuminate specific areas such as the luxury hair care product display the Unity Rectangular LED downlights were installed. These recessed downlights are fully adjustable so the installer can direct the light. The black trim provides excellent glare control and the steel housing with die cast aluminium body is great for thermal management.

To ensure safety regulations were adhered to our Eagle 3-in-1  LED Exit signs were installed. These modern slim 3-in-1  exit signs complimented the style of the salon perfectly. With self-test option available it offers complete peace of mind and minimal maintenance.

Overall the salon owners were delighted with the excellent light levels, reduction in energy bills, and overall atmosphere created in the salon.
