Illuminating Flexibility and Style at Leigh Works with Ansell Lighting

Leigh Works is a dynamic collaborative workspace, designed for professional and creative individuals who require a modern facility which reflects a modern coworking space constructed for a multitude of different applications, from shared office with hot-desking, through workshops and studios for digital media creatives, to product designers, software and hardware developers.

Ansell Lighting was asked to undertake a lighting solution which reflected the dynamics of the various spaces for the many different applications and tasks being carried out, whilst also offering both functional and energy-efficient illumination, for which the company was fully able to provide from its extensive portfolio of high-quality lighting products in meeting the needs of the spaces.

Considering carefully the diverse requirements of Leigh Works, Ansell Lighting provided a variety of cutting-edge products, prioritising an optimum design and ensuring practicality.

The P-Cell 24V IP20 TW 50m, tuneable white LED Strip was specified for their ability to provide uniform and high-quality lighting throughout the workspace, where the LED Strip offered a high CRI solution, alongside excellent energy efficiency, being perfect for enhancing productivity and providing comfort in the work areas​.

The P-Cell 24V IP65 RGBTW 10m RGB tuneable white LED Strip added a dynamic, colour-adjustable option to the lighting project, and with this flexibility, allowed the client to easily change the atmosphere for the different events or purposes.

The Mercurial White Luminaires with their integrated microwave sensors for energy-saving, automatic control, and emergency lighting capabilities, made these luminaires the ideal solution for the office environments where efficient lighting and safety are paramount.

For the emergency lighting and exit signage, the Ansell Guardian Bulkhead Emergency fittings and the Falcon Pro Black Emergency fittings ensured the critical areas remained a well-lit environment in the event of mains power failure, and when paired with the sleek Exit Signs, provided essential safety without compromising the modern aesthetics of the space.

The challenge of the project was to maintain the modern industrial look whilst ensuring that the workspace was both optimally illuminated and maximised energy efficiency.

The range of P-Cell LED strips, with their high lumen output and superior colour quality, provided the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, where the tuneable white and RGB features gave added flexibility of adjustment in the lighting to suit the various needs, from everyday office use to those special events. The focus on an energy-efficient solution also aligned with the client’s desire to reduce operational costs, making the installation both aesthetically pleasing and an economic success.
