Ansell Lighting is committed to environmental sustainability. We are a responsible manufacturer and want to promote our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint and play our part in ensuring we are adhering to green practises.

Some examples of our progress:

Dedicated recycling programme

We are taking steps to ensure our packaging has as little impact to the environment as possible. All outer packaging used in transit is 100% recycled plastics and we are reviewing all single-use plastics use in the business.

We have a number of EV charging points installed in our carparks to promote the use of more energy efficient electric vehicles.

Our LED lighting in our offices, warehouses and production areas use significantly less energy than traditional alternatives.

WEEE directive

The objective of the directive is to promote recycling, minimise waste and stimulate the development of more environmentally friendly products for the future. We work with AVC Weeeco to ensure an environmentally sound collection of any waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Paperless where possible

We are taking positive steps to ensure our use of paper is eliminated or greatly reduced. This is done by converting documents and other papers into digital form. We now send 80% of invoices via email rather than post out paper copies and by stopping the printing of advice notes we save on average 6,500 paper copies per week or over 335K per year.

Furthermore, we have brought together a sustainability task force, our ‘green team’ who are responsible for developing eco-friendly initiatives for the company ensuring our business is proactively seeking ways to being as environmentally sustainable as possible.
