Private Residence Refurbishment

This private residence is an excellent example of how you can use a range of different Ansell products around a home to create focal points and relaxing spaces. The residents have used a range of downlights, LED strip, spotlights and have opted for the smart lighting option OCTO, to give them control of the lighting according to the mood and requirements.

In the kitchen, the Unity 80 LED Downlight was used to create a bright and workable space to cook and also for entertaining. The Unity downlight is an IP44, compact high-performance downlight with suitability for commercial, hospitality and retail applications, having a die-cast aluminium construction, powder coated, and mirror finished anodized reflector with a 30° cut-off angle. With an anti-glare design to create visual comfort and suppled with a remote driver with plug and play connection for ease of installation. This sealed fitting with its reflector technology offers an ideal solution within the kitchen, by providing downward illumination on the working surfaces, whilst offering that visual comfort required when entertaining with family and friends.

The same Unity 80 Downlight has also been installed in the bedroom and the living room, along with the OCTO smart lighting option, giving the homeowner complete control over the lighting to provide illumination which suits their mood and at a time which suits their needs.

To create interesting focus under the island and in providing additional light above the worktops, the Boa and Krait LED strip were installed. With a choice of cool, warm, or tuneable white, the strip can be tailored to meet the homeowner’s needs, and for this installation, the tuneable white version was selected, in conjunction with the tuneable Unity downlights, thereby providing a wide range of lighting options to suit any situation.

In the bathroom, the Iris LED downlight was used, being a micro recessed adjustable downlight with 40° tilt angle, ideal for multiple uses, such as for general illumination, or in retail installations, or for cabinets and furniture applications. In this installation, it provides a focal point within the bathroom, and to create mood lighting for a relaxing and calming setting. The Boa and Krait LED Strip in tuneable white were also used around the bath to provide a softer light for a calming environment to unwind in.

Within the hallway, several Facet non-Dimmable Bi-Directional Wall Lights providing a vivid angled distribution, have been installed in an aluminium finish, thereby providing interest and light pattern on the walls, offering a sleek and modern addition to the house. Available in matt white or polished satin chrome, ideal for lighting in the hallway.

The various lights within this house have shown the variability and flexibility of Ansell lighting products. You can easily create a range of moods and interesting focal points with lighting as well as still being a functional and usable space to live and work in.
