Radford Mill Student Accommodation

When the Radford Mill was being built, the contractors were looking to install economic downlights throughout the communal areas within the student accommodation block. They decided to install the low cost, ultra-slim circular Ansell Freska LED downlight. The Freska was installed in the entranceway and communal lounges giving the areas a light and bright feel.

With its slim design, it is ideal for fitting into ceilings with a shallow void. Designed with a remote driver with plug and play connection it makes installation quick and easy. Available in three sizes in both warm white and cool white colour temperatures, it is ideal for student accommodation blocks, such as Radford Mill, retail applications, schools and colleges as well as offices and commercial settings.

As well as being a versatile downlight, the Freska is also available with a self-test emergency pack, making it perfect for use in areas where emergency lighting is a requirement. Self-test eliminates the requirements for manual testing as the automatic fault indicators allow for speedy, accurate maintenance. This intelligent emergency system conducts functional and duration testing, in line with the relevant standards and therefore offering full compliance. This emergency self-test option was installed at Radford Mill, saving maintenance time and ensuring the safety of its residents.
