WARRANTY AND PERIOD
Ansell Lighting warrants only to the original end user that the products and parts manufactured will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the warranty period. The warranty period is determined commencing upon date of invoice to the end user or, if the end user cannot provide proof of invoice, then the dispatch date from Ansell Lighting.
LED warranty period is based on an average operating usage of eight hours per day and applies where failures exceed a component manufacturers expected failure rate and lumen depreciation.
ANSELL LIGHTING OBLIGATION UNDER WARRANTY
Ansell Lighting’s sole obligation under the warranty, shall be to repair or provide replacement product(s) during the warranty period. Ansell Lighting does not assume responsibility for delays in replacement or repair of products or parts. Products and parts repaired or replaced by Ansell Lighting under warranty shall be warranted for the balance of the original warranty period.

Including and without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose

LIMITATIONS
No salesperson, representative, distributor, or agent of Ansell Lighting, is authorised to make any guarantee, warranty, or representation that contradicts the terms contained in this Limited Warranty. Any Waiver, alteration, addition, or modification to the warranties contained herein must be in writing and signed by an authorised representative of Ansell Lighting to be binding and enforceable. Ansell Lighting does not assume responsibility for any specific application to which any products or parts of products are applied including, but not limited to, compatibility with other products.
Ansell Lighting will not accept any responsibility or warrant any product that has been tampered with or has been changed, altered or wrongly installed. All statements, technical information, or recommendations relating to the products or parts issued by Ansell Lighting are based upon tests believed to be reliable, but do not constitute a guarantee or warranty. Ansell Lighting shall not under any circumstances be liable to any part for loss of profits, loss of goodwill or any other special, consequential, or incidental damages whatsoever, with respect to any claim in connection with products or parts manufactured by Ansell Lighting or products or parts used in any product or products manufactured by Ansell Lighting
EXCLUSIONS TO THE WARRANTY
The limited warranty shall be null and void in the following circumstances :-
Modification or repair of any covered product or part by the installer end user or any non-authorised Ansell Lighting service provider. Improper use or installation, failure to conduct regular maintenance or cleaning, or damage by accident or neglect, of any covered product or part by the end user or any third party. In particular, all AISI316L and 304L stainless steel products must be cleaned every three months to keep the features of the product unaltered. Conditions, fluctuations in the electrical system or physical abuse as well as failure related to workmanship.
Failure by the installer, end user or any third party to exercise caution to protect any covered product or part from outside damage, adverse temperature (normal operating ambient temperature 0 – 25°C), humidity the installation of the product or parts.
Ansell Lighting will not assume responsibility for corrosion or other resulting damage to products where they are installed in areas in which fertilizer or chemicals are present, either in the air or in the soil or where products are installed near to chemical plants etc., or areas with emissions of heavy polluted air.
Lamp life is reduced by switching cycles, temperature and voltage fluctuations
Failure of supplied lamps
All lamps have a manufacturers average lamp life and can fail before or after their operational range.
It is essential that the battery packs within all emergency luminaires are replaced after a four-year period. All emergency luminaires must be tested in accordance with BS EN 5266-8-2004. Increased frequency of emergency testing may result in the premature replacement of battery pack before the standard four-year period.
Ansell Lighting On-Site Warranty Terms and Conditions in addition to the Warranty information
1. Scope of onsite Warranty UK and ROI regions applicable.
1.1 Ansell on-site warranty is applicable to specific products (you can find these on the Ansell Website) and is subject to change (A notice period minimum 3 months will apply) posted also on the site periodically.
1.2 The Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service during the warranty period.
2. Onsite Warranty Period:
2.1 The warranty period commences on the date of purchase and continues for a period of up to 3 years, product specific (please note some have no onsite warranty available).
Products that have onsite warranties (please note not all products have onsite warranties and regional exclusions apply). (UK and ROI only applicable).
3.1 Products eligible for on-site warranty can be found on our website in the onsite warranty registration section.
To activate your onsite warranty, you MUST register online on our Ansell website within 90 days of purchase, proof of purchase will be required – NB If product are not registered then our standard warranty will apply. When you register your product/s you will be sent a reference number, you will need this number to claim
4. Warranty Service:
4.1 In the event of a warranty claim, the customer must complete the Ansell Lighting On-Site Warranty Form Claim, available on our website.
4.2 Ansell Lighting will assess the warranty claim and, where possible, authorise the replacement of faulty products at a fair rate or use a third party if an agreement cannot be reached with the customer.
5. Estimates and Approval:
5.1 All estimates for on-site warranty services must be submitted to Ansell Lighting for approval before any rectification work is commenced and will be subject to a review and final approval from an Ansell or approved Ansell technical representative.
5.2 Ansell Lighting reserves the right to approve or reject any estimates and may request additional information or clarification.
6. Rectification Procedure:
6.1 Upon approval of the estimate, the rectification work will be carried out by the contractor approved by Ansell Lighting within a reasonable time.
6.2 The customer shall provide access to the products covered by the Warranty and any necessary equipment, as required for the rectification work.
6.3 An additional 12-month onsite warranty will apply to any rectified products in this process.
7. Charges:
7.1 Ansell Lighting agrees to set labour charges up to a maximum of a flat rate of £25 per hour for on-site warranty services, if not using an Ansell agreed Qualified Engineer (Permission has to be given by Ansell Technical team in writing for this). Only qualified engineers will be acceptable and, in any dispute, the acceptance of the onsite warranty labour usage decision will be final from the Ansell Technical team.
7.2 Additionally, the maximum fee of £200 (one off) will be charged for the use of access equipment during any rectification process.
7.3 If the on-site rectification takes place and the fault is subsequently found to be not the luminaire then the charges from Ansell will be inline with the above.
8. On-Site Warranty Forms:
8.1. Customers are required to fill out the Ansell Lighting On-Site Warranty application form available on our website including uploading proof of purchase within 90 Days of purchase to validate the onsite warranty – without this the normal warranty terms will apply.
8.2 Onsite Claim forms are also available in the same location on our website.
9. Exclusions: In addition the standard warranty exclusions, disclaimers and limitations;
9.1 This Warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from:
a. Improper or inadequate installation or maintenance.
b. Unauthorised modifications or repairs.
c. Use of non-Ansell Lighting components or accessories.
d. Incorrect application or damage
e. Incorrect usage or running hours.
9.2 If in dispute the allocation of an Ansell electrical contractor will be used to assess and conclude the on-site dispute.
10. Limitation of Liability:
10.1 Ansell Lighting’s liability under this Warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective products as determined by Ansell Lighting.
11. Modifications:
11.1 Ansell Lighting reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. Any changes will be communicated to customers via the website.
