Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital is a 450-bed National Health Service hospital in Basingstoke, Hampshire, England and provides a full range of planned and emergency services. These include specialist services for rare or complex illnesses for patients all across the UK.

The hospital was undergoing a refit and when it came to identifying the ideal supplier for LED luminaires, the facilities management team were really keen on Ansell Lighting after seeing the quality and reliability of previous Ansell products. One of our sales representatives had visited the site and given the facilities team some specifications and also made them aware of what Ansell could do to provide them with quality solutions.

Our Disco Slim LED was one of a variety of LED luminaires installed at the facility. It has a slim modern design with all polycarbonate construction with opal diffuser and white trim ring and has instant light output and unlimited switching capability. The Disco Slim LED has an incredible LED lifespan of L70 56,000 hours.

The Eclipse MultiLED was another Ansell product installed at the hospital. The Eclipse is an LED wall/ceiling luminaire with adjustable power and light output option. A key feature of the Eclipse is its flexibility of performance that allows suitability for multiple applications. It comes in a variety of options allowing users to choose from multiple colour and wattage options. The reliability of the Eclipse is backed up with an LED lifespan of L70 54,000 hours.

Ansell have a wide range of high quality downlights available and our Galaxy CCT LED Downlight was chose as the ideal product for installation at the hospital. This was for a variety of reasons. The Galaxy CCT LED is a compact IP65 LED Downlight which out performs twin 18W and 26W PLC lamp variants. It’s packed full of features which include a removable twist on, twist off bezel which provides the option of utilising alternative bezel and drop glass accessories. A key feature of the Galaxy is the faceted reflector and optical fresnel lens which provides outstanding performance, uniformity and glare control. The Galaxy CCT LED Downlight also has cut-out dimensions suitable to replace most PLC downlights. On top of all these features, the Galaxy comes in a variety of options and has a spectacular LED lifespan of L70 50,000 hours.
