Crosfields School Car Park

Situated in an over forty-acre site, Crosfields is a co-educational school with attending pupils of between the ages of 3 and 16, and as an exceptionally friendly school, Crosfields emphasises manners, kindness and good behaviour.

The car park for the school site was in need of a lighting upgrade and the process began to identify the ideal LED solutions which could meet Crosfield’s exacting lighting requirements of product reliability, quality and efficiency.

The car park at the school is fairly expansive, so a mix of bollards and streetlighting fittings were proposed so as to cover the whole car park area. The Ansell Taurus LED Bollard and Onix LED Streetlight were both identified as great solutions, which could go above and beyond Crosfields School’s expectations, with both products being appropriately installed within the car park area and it was soon after that the school immediately started to see the benefits.

The Taurus LED is a robust die-cast aluminium bollard with a textured graphite finish, featuring a die-cast aluminium head and polycarbonate lens, which is offered with a non-Dimmable cool white 25 Watt LED light source, allowing comparable performance to 70W HQI, but with greater energy efficiency.  Its reliability is supported with an impressive LED lifespan of L70 to 50,000 hours. Supplied with a root mounting kit, the Taurus is a great solution for many outdoor amenity environments and offers incredible value for money, making it an extremely popular bollard for contractors and customers alike.

The Ansell Onix LED Street Light is a modern die-cast aluminium street light suitable for residential and commercial applications, having a Die-cast aluminium construction for optimal heat dissipation and performance and UV stabilized polycarbonate cover. Incorporating a toolless gear tray removal for ease of maintenance and built-in anti-tamper isolation facility, this fitting is compatible with post top or side entry utility 76mm spigot and offers a G3 Glare Rating. The Onix has a LED lifespan of L70 to 50,000 hours which makes the streetlight cost effective and reliable, whilst maintaining utmost quality.

Overall, the school were very happy with the results and delighted with the quality of products from Ansell Lighting, which will allow the school to save on energy costs and give the estate managers peace of mind in knowing high-quality and reliable LED luminaires will require no maintenance.
