FJ Need (Foods) – Cheshire

FJ Need (Foods) is a supplier of quality dairy products based in Cheshire. We were approached  to provide a lighting design scheme for their 25,000 sq. factory.

We carefully assessed the facility’s requirements and proposed a LED lighting upgrade which reduced overall energy consumption and costs while significantly improving the lighting quality. Quality of product is of fundamental importance to their business, their factories undergo rigorous cleaning procedures so ingress protection was a key factor. The fixtures had to be suitable for a food environment, obtain a sufficient lux level and ensure minimum lamp replacement. Carbon footprint was also a key factor.

The proposed solution was to install the Stormloc IP65 Non Corrosives LED. Stormloc exceeds the performance of traditional T8 and T5 fluorescent by up to 37% and allows point for point replacement of existing fluorescent luminaires. With energy efficiency being a paramount objective the Stormloc offers up to 48% energy saving compared to a T8 fluorescent. A polycarbonate base and performance diffuser maximises durability and strength while lockable heavy duty stainless steel clips supplied as standard add safety and security. IP65 as standard for complete ingress protection. L70 56,000 Hours maintenance free saving money by not having to hire an electrician to replace lamps every few years and the cost of the replacement lamps.

Overall the client was extremely pleased with the light performance, maintenance free installation and the overall energy savings both environmentally and financially.
