Sports Complex – Rosslea, NI

A sports complex which is home to Rosslea Shamrocks GFC and located in Rosslea, Northern Ireland, has recently undergone a lighting transformation. The large complex required around 150 bollards, which were installed along the pathways and around the main field.  

The specification was to identify a suitable LED bollard which met the lighting requirements, looked great and provided value for money. The team in Rosslea managed to tick every box with the Ansell Taurus LED Bollard.  

Ansell had from the start set out to design and build a bollard with reliability at its very core. This was achieved by focusing on the quality of build. It’s robust die-cast aluminium structure which comes with a textured graphite finish provides the level of durability and protection needed for this application. The addition of a polycarbonate lens provides great impact resistance making the Taurus suitable for many applications, including that of a sports complex.  

The supplied root mounting kit assists with the installation and offers greater stability for the installed bollard. 

As with all products from Ansell Lighting, the company takes performance very seriously. The bollard has a comparable performance to that of 70W HQI and features an LED lifespan of L70 at 50,000 hours.  

The installed project was a major success. The Taurus provided Rosslea Sports Complex with a great LED solution that went above and beyond their expectations.
