Ansell lighting have recently announced the launch of their Green team task force. The responsibility of the Green team is to encourage environmentally sustainable practices and generate ideas on what the company can do to be more energy efficient and how they can reduce the use of single-use plastics.

Ansell are already making progress with several recycling programmes, but it is the inclusion of single-use plastic in their product packaging that they are initially looking to reduce/eradicate. They also want to educate their customers and end users on the best ways to recycle their packaging to ensure everybody is playing their part.

Managing director Mark Abbott said ‘As a company, we are committed to environmental sustainability. We are a responsible manufacturer and want to promote our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint and play our part in ensuring we are adhering to as many green practices as possible, I am looking forward to working with the Green team and rolling out the new initiatives’
