Modern Showroom Lighting Upgrade at S Cars, Oldham

The client had a vision for what they wanted: a showroom that looked cutting-edge, with lighting that could adapt instantly to suit different displays. A tailored lighting scheme was developed to bring that vision to life, combining architectural linear lighting, adjustable track illumination, and smart controlled LED strip for feature areas and the media wall.

The Challenge

The showroom’s existing lighting was no longer fit for purpose. The old grid ceiling and failing LED panels created inconsistent illumination, leaving the space looking tired and underwhelming — especially when compared to the quality of the vehicles being showcased.

S Cars needed a new lighting setup that would:

• Create a clean, contemporary look throughout the showroom
• Provide bright, even lighting to enhance vehicle presentation
• Allow adjustable, directional lighting for featured displays
• Introduce colour-changing lighting for feature and media wall zones
• Deliver smart control so the team could tailor colour temperature and effects as required

The Solution

To create a premium showroom feel, Blade recessed linear fittings were installed in continuous runs across the full length of the ceiling. This delivered a striking architectural effect — a seamless ribbon of light that modernised the space and provided excellent, uniform illumination across the showroom floor and office areas. Blade’s recessed linear design is ideal for achieving a clean finish and continuous lighting effect, with selectable CCT options to suit the application.

To add flexibility, Primo Single Circuit Track was installed around the outer areas of the main showroom, enabling adjustable lighting that can be directed exactly where needed. This allowed the team to highlight featured vehicles, creating a more layered and professional lighting scheme.

To elevate the showroom experience further and introduce colour-changing functionality, a combination of P-Cell RGBTW LED strip and Z-Cell RGBW irregular bend LED strip was installed through feature areas and the media wall. These strips were integrated with OCTO smart control, allowing the team to adjust colours and colour temperature whenever they choose — creating a dynamic, changeable environment to match the car on display or the mood of the showroom. P-Cell offers high-end strip performance for seamless lighting, while Z-Cell’s flexible design supports curved or irregular layouts without dark spots.

The refurbished S Cars showroom has been completely transformed — now delivering a modern, high-end customer experience that reflects the quality of the vehicles on display.

The continuous Blade linear lighting creates a sleek architectural finish while giving bright, consistent illumination throughout the space. Primo track adds precision and flexibility for display lighting, and the OCTO-controlled LED strip system brings a standout feature element — enabling colour change and customisable ambience at the touch of a button.
