Casambi network sizes depend on the network type. In a Classic Casambi network, up to 127 devices can be connected. In the Evolution network, which is recommended for newer installations and higher performance, up to 250 devices can be integrated. These device limits are designed to ensure stable communication and optimal functionality within the network. For larger setups, Casambi also offers a "Site" mode that combines multiple networks within one physical location, allowing more extensive installations.

To pair your Connected by WiZ device with the WiZ app, start by ensuring your light is in "pairing mode." Here’s a quick guide:

1. Enter Pairing Mode: If the device hasn’t been paired before, turning it on will automatically activate pairing mode. If it has been paired, quickly switch the light off and on three times, with a one-second interval each time, until it begins to pulse blue (for color lights) or cool white (for tunable lights) to signal readiness.
2. Pair in the App: Open the WiZ app and tap the "+" button to add your light. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network during this process, as Connected by WiZ devices use this frequency to establish the connection.
3. Manual Setup (if needed): If the app doesn’t detect your device, you may be prompted to connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network emitted by the light (typically named “WiZConfig_XXXX”) for manual setup. After connecting, return to the app to complete pairing.

Connected by WiZ works on most Wi-Fi networks. We use 2.4GHz, which is the most commonly available Wi-Fi range on both old and new routers, consumes less power and reaches further than 5GHz, in order to maximize range and compatibility.

You have a brand new, cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6E router? A Mesh solution? No worries, all of those natively support 2.4GHz (as well as more advanced things of course) and you should not have to modify any setting. Connected by WiZ will peacefully run on the 2.4GHz range, while your more advanced electronic devices may enjoy your ultra-fast 5GHz network.

Connected by WiZ operates on 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, on either 802.11 b, g or n wireless standard. 802.11 ac and ax standards are not supported, although this is usually not a problem since most routers still offer b/g/n in addition to those newer standards. 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported: your Connected by WiZ devices will stay connected to the 2.4GHz network (but you are of course free to use your 5GHz network for everything else).

However, once your lights are paired, you can control them from anywhere through the local network and the Cloud. No need to keep your phone connected to the 2.4GHz network.

Connected by WiZ requires WPA2-Personal or WPA3-Personal security. WEP and WPA-entreprise are not supported. Open networks without password are not supported.

For dwellings, fixed lighting should be installed with controls being either manual, automatic or a combination of both, however for buildings other than dwellings, fixed lighting should achieve levels of illumination appropriate to the activity and the use of lighting controls should be such that unoccupied spaces have automatic controls to turn the general lighting off when the space is not in use, and occupied spaces should have automatic controls suitable for the space, during normal usage.
